And then in the evening: Our second Wakelyns Music Supper (here are some pics from last month's event) including delicious vegetarian sourdough pizza from fresh from our wood-fired oven from @silva.wakelyns (it will keep on coming!), seasonal puddings, live music from Broken Folk curated by @sonicwaveney, the Wakelyns real ale bar, and dancing! Broken Folk are an improvised platter of music and poetry that knows no bounds, an audio feast for the senses featuring pianist virtuoso Will Fergusson, percussionist extraordinaire Les Chappell and the group’s frontman multi-instrumentalist poet Jason Parr. Expect vibes reminiscent of Tom Waits meets Thelonious Monk meets Billy Bragg and everything in between! Stay over in a Wakelyns Ley Alley Pod - no need to drive home!     Come and visit Wakelyns 16-17 May 2026. In 2021 w Come and visit Wakelyns 16-17 May 2026. In 2021 we at Wakelyns initiated Agroforestry Open Weekend with 6 participating farms. It's grown every year. It’s a bit like Open Gardens or Open Studios – each farm opens for visitors for some of the weekend 15-18 May 2026 – see www.agroforestryopenweekend.org Meanwhile – come and visit us at Wakelyns! For Agroforestry Open Weekend 2026, we will be open on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May. Come and have a look round and learn about all that we are doing at Wakelyns including with the WakelynsVeg horticulture team and Adam & Emma from Willow Phoenix (join in making willow swallows). There’ll be fun stuff for kids and, of course, delicious food all weekend from the Nicola and Lindsay – Silva Kitchen and Bakery at Wakelyns; and of course the Wakelyns Real Ale Bar will be open. Paul J, our long term expert arborist, will be leading ‘taster’ tree walks during each day introducing you to everything arboricultural at Wakelyns. Harry, from Wakelyns Nature, will be doing nature walks Claire will enthuse you about the Contemporary Hempery project at Wakelyns. The team from the Organic Research Centre who will be explaining their work at Wakelyns We are also now showcasing the Wakelyns Tree Stories produced by Paul Jackson and ORC’s Will Simonson: follow the Tree Story Trail! There is no admission charge but we need to regulate the numbers and the flow so booking with time slots is essential please. Don’t just turn up! If you’re booking for one of the one hour taster walks, please also book your timed arrival as well. Spaces for the one hour taster walks are very limited so advanced booking is recommended. You can pay and join on the day if there are still spaces. Delicious food will be available all weekend from the team at Silva Kitchen and Bakery at Wakelyns.
