Wakelyns, Fressingfield

Paul Jackson is an expert aborist who has brought his huge experience and expertise to his work on the trees at Wakelyns over many years.

On a Wakelyns tree walk, you’ll walk round with Paul, learning about what was planted, how it has grown and been managed, and what we’ve learned about the trees at Wakelyns. You will see and learn about how coppicing and pollarding have been part of the agroforestry system, how they have impacted on tree growth, and disease; and how to help tackle climate change.

You’ll have a fascinating day learning about and enjoying our lovely agroforestry landscape.

“I am still on ‘a high’ from Paul’s wonderfully informative day on Sunday. He is simply amazing, sharing his passion and rich knowledge. And as for seeing more hares in one day than I have seen in a long-ish lifetime, I was over the moon. I shall be looking for an excuse for my 5th visit …! Henrietta’s lunch was brilliant and the ambiance out in ‘plein aire’ was just right.” Diana, June 2023
