Subscriptions and Boxes

We welcome you to come to Wakelyns and to visit us in alley 41. Once June/July is here and the seedlings have grown into plants, you’ll be able to walk amongst the veggies and see the bountiful produce we’re growing, until then, we nurture and tend the seedlings into fruition.

As a CSA we are different to standard veg boxes.

Rather than weekly payments, we ask for either a 1 month or 6 month subscription. After 6 months we will be in January, and a New Year’s subscription will begin.

We ask for this commitment as it gives the growers a more secure income, an idea of how much veg is wanted, and reduces admin thus increasing time spent out in the field 🙂

We have two subscription options:

CSA supporter member £25 a year – This is for those of you who believe in what we do, and just want to add a little financial support. In return for your generosity you will receive quarterly newsletters, keeping you up to date on RealVegs progress, and we will hold two events which all our members will be invited to through out the year. The events will involve good food and good fun!

CSA veg box member – Sign up to receive a weekly box of organic seasonal veg.

We are offering two sizes of veg boxes in our first growing season:

Small £10 box. – perfect for 1-2 people. You can choose to commit to 1 months worth of veg, or 6 months worth of veg.

Medium £15 box. – perfect for 2-4 people. You can choose to commit to 1 months worth of veg, or 6 months worth of veg.

What do you get in a box?

The small £10 box contains 6-8 items,

The medium £15 box 8-10 items.

“Items” are for example 3 parsnips; a 150g bag of mixed salad leaves; 2 leeks; typical veg box portions from the seasonal selection of Organic veggies that we’ve been growing between the trees. We aim to grow as much veg ourselves for the veg boxes but occasionally we may need to buy veg, and it will always be organic and as local to us as we can find it.

For our first year boxes are running from June to Dec, starting up again in March 2022 🙂

If you feel you don’t need a weekly veg box please speak to us and we’ll see what we can do.

We know you probably have questions, we’ve tried to answer as many as we can in our FAQs page, please do look. And contact us if there’s something we haven’t covered.
