Nestled within the leafy embrace of Wakelyns Organic Farm in the heart of Suffolk, our festival taster day invites you to step into a world where creativity, mindfulness, and nature intertwine. Let your senses awaken to a realm of possibilities. Here, the rhythm of life is set by the gentle sway of willow branches and the soothing hum of the pottery wheel.

We have collected the very best green crafters to bring you a joyous and inspiring day of workshops…. Saturday’s events will connect you to nature and free you to create….

There are 2, 3 hour creative sessions in the day, just choose which you prefer. The Children’s Area will be running all day. There will be plenty of time to explore the farm, relax and reconnect.

Willow Phoenix – Basket Making
Dream Weaving

We have been working and teaching at Wakelyns for the last 3 years with all things willowy. We are pleased to introduce to you our Dream-Weaving course, which we have been thinking about for several years. In this session we will be creating a Celtic frame basket of your choice, whilst we discuss; ‘What is manifesting?’ and ‘How can it make our lives better?’ Starting with our baskets.

We will ‘Connect with Nature’ and our materials by harvesting some fresh willows. We’ll talk about how the process of coppicing our materials is harmonious with the seasons and nature’s cycles and how sustainable the products we make are. Coppicing shows us that we are very much a part of nature and that we can work in synchronicity with it.

You will be able to choose from a variety of pre-made frames, made from Wakelyns willow. There will be Berry Baskets, Leaf Trays, Henny Penny Baskets, Trugs, Buttocks Baskets and Swills. Pick a frame that makes you happy and is useful in your life. We’ll teach you a randing weave to fill out your frame.

While we weave, there will be plenty of time to talk about manifesting, while we immerse in the notion of the innterconnectedness of…well, everything. We’ll demonstrate a method for manifesting and provide resourses for your own further practice. We are all powerful Co-Creators.

Eve Roach – Pottery

Hello, my name is Eve. I have worked with clay since 2016. I first learnt the basics from a lovely lady in France. This was a ten day intensive course and it set me up for my future journey of continued learning. My workshop is now in the seaside town of Lowestoft where I am fortunate enough to spend most of my time creating pieces.

As with all things, my work is in a constant state of change. I throw on a wheel primarily but also hand build sometimes also. Much love and have fun.

In our session we will be creating pots with the pinch pot method and with the kick wheel. Engage with the Earth element and be open to receive.
