As explained here, we are this year having a bit of fun growing different examples of the YQ population wheat developed by Wakelyns, the ORC and the John Innes Centre.
Other alleys are growing YQ that left Wakelyns a while ago and has now ‘come home’, or the Wakelyns original (walk along and check them each out).
These beds are growing a mixture of all four versions of the YQ – the ‘YQ Meta Population’. We are looking to see what happens by combining all 4 versions.
