In 2019 we opened up Wakelyns for a few months on a ‘permissive paths’ basis to allow members of the public to walk around and enjoy it whenever they wanted. We installed a bridge to link Wakelyns to the neighbouring public right of way, to allow an easy route for people walking from Metfield to enjoy Wakelyns. Sadly, our neighbour (on whose land is the public right of way) did not like us encouraging more people to walk on the public right of way and removed our bridge.
