The Green Lane

This ‘Green Lane’ separates the two halves of the Wakelyns land. It’s a public right of way so feel free to wander along it – recently opened up and cleared by the County Council.

Historically, it would have gone all the way to Hunters Lane to the North of Wakelyns but, sadly, at some point the section beyond us was ploughed up by that farmer. So, although it is still possible continue beyond the Green Lane on an ordinary footpath, it is not the splendid route through it would once have been.

If you walk along here you can enter Wakelyns via one of our bridges at the North West corner of Wakelyns.

Meanwhile, to your right is the lovely pond restored by Suffolk Wildlife Trust in 2021 – more information here.
