This is the Wakelyns Cow Shed.
When Wakelyns was a pig farm (in the 1970s) the Cowshed was a cowshed! Have a look at the photo on the shelf, taken between 1976 and 1979.
For a long time after that it was just farm storage.
We replaced the asbestos roof, put in an insulated floor (it was just soil before), clad and insulated the walls inside and out, added doors, and installed air source heating.
We now use it is a communal workshop/meeting/recreation space.
