This is our 10kW solar PV array.

10kW is the biggest we are allowed on our single phase (essentially domestic) electricity supply. To go bigger we either need to upgrade our supply to 3 phase, or source significant batteries (which we will do at some point anyway) so that we can store and use on site all the electricity we produce from the sun.

At the moment we do that to some extent through the controller on our EV charger, which uses the spare solar generated electricity to charge cars.

We also heat water (in well insulated tanks) and by focus our baking, washing and showering at times when the sun is shining.
