WILD WEAVING WORKSHOP WITH KITTY WILSON BROWN

Wild Weaving Workshop at Wakelyns Farm.

After the success of Kitty Wilson Brown’s wild weaving workshop, she will be continuing to host more workshops.

Kitty invites you to come to Wakelyn’s farm for a two day course, learning to
naturally dye yarn and weave a tapestry.

On the first day, November the 23th, you will be designing a tapestry using natural materials. Using your chosen natural colours, you will learn how to dye yarn such as hemp, flax and wool using plants. You will learn how to dye with traditional dye plants such as indigo, madder, hemp, coreopsis and marigolds.

On the second day, November the 30th, after learning basic weave and tapestry techniques you will create your own design, using your own dyed yarn.

Lunch is provided using organic produce from the Wakelyn’s agroforestry farm. Lunch will include delicious cake and bread from the Wakelyn’s onsite bakery.

The handmade wooden frame loom you will be working on is included in the price to take away with you.

Everything else, such as dyes, yarns, teas and coffees are also included.

The price of this two day workshop is £210.
