As part of our YQ coming home project, we are growing this alley of YQ which Mark from Green Acres has been nurturing for the last few years at his farm in Shropshire.
Mark said this about our project:
That’ll be fascinating. [Martin Wolfe] sent me the first seed in 2016 so we’ve grown it 6 times here in Shropshire. We grow a lot of other wheats so it may have picked up a bit of added diversity – I always tell myself Martin would have approved (I hope that’s true)!
