Events and courses at Wakelyns and in the bakery 2023

Here are all of the events happening at Wakelyns this year, a veritable wealth of wonderful weekends and weekdays of happenings!

We are honoured to play a part in these days, with the food we provide for everyone at Wakelyns events and courses. Everything that we cook is from what the soil around us gives us. Weave willow whilst eating bread made with the wheat that has grown right next to it! It’s moving, uplifting and delicious! Elevenses and relaxed two course lunches are provided for most courses.

These events are a union and celebration of all of the food, energy and materials that the integrated system of agroforestry produces. The symbiosis of this abundance, mirroring that of the arable alleys and trees lines, creates days of nourishment, imagination and a lot of fun!

Courses in the bakery, 2023

For the past two summers we have held a Wheat, Walk, Talk ‘n’ Bake course in collaboration with plant breeder, Nick Fradgley, and farmer, Heron Holmes. We have decided to have a pause from it this year, as we focus on the bakery business at this young stage, and also make sure we have time to rest. We hope to continue this course next year or when we are able to.
