Date – 8th August 2026

Discover the magic of indigo from plant to pigment to wearable art.
In this immersive, hands on workshop, you’ll learn the fascinating journey of indigo from the field to the fabric. We’ll explore how indigo is grown and harvested, how the leaves are transformed into dye, and how a living indigo vat is created.
You’ll see the indigo dyeing process in action right alongside the plants, and learn the essential steps of building and maintaining a natural indigo vat. We’ll cover the basics of reduction, oxygen, and the chemistry that makes indigo’s signature blue possible.
Then, you’ll put your new knowledge into practice.
