DESCRIPTION:\nThe full-day Wakelyns Tracking courses are a great place to s
 tart for anyone interested in learning how to identify and interpret a ran
 ge of wildlife tracks and signs – signs that help us understand and conn
 ect with our wildlife friends. Reading the tracks and signs that the wildl
 ife around us leave as they go about their lives is the origin of storytel
 ling\, and is still as rich\, engaging and grounding as it was for our anc
 estors. \n\n\n\nWe will start the day with some classroom-led learning whi
 ch we will then take outside with us as we spend the rest of the day explo
 ring Wakelyns’ unique agroforestry areas. As we wander\, we will find an
 d discuss examples of tracks and signs (feeding signs\, homes\, droppings 
 etc.)\, leaving you with a solid introduction to the ancient art of tracki
 ng.\n\n\n\nOur day will start at 9.30 am and end at 3.30 pm. Morning coffe
 e included. We will break for a delicious lunch from Lindsay and the team 
 from the Wakelyns Kitchen.\n\n\n\n£50 per person\, or £25 for people on 
 low incomes.\n\n\n\nNo existing knowledge\, or experience is needed for th
 is course. Just an enthusiasm for wildlife and a willingness to explore an
 d learn. By the end of the day you will:\n\n\n\n\nHave a deeper appreciati
 on of the evidence that our wildlife leaves on the landscape.\n\n\n\nAn un
 derstanding of mammal and bird foot morphology\, and be able identify some
  common mammal and bird tracks.\n\n\n\nBe able to identify some different 
 wildlife signs and what they mean.\n\n
