We’ve started sowing 🌱🌱🌱
As growers, its an exciting feeling! That pull of the spring energy, now that the days are lengthening, and things are (for the moment) warming up a bit outside. Frosts can come late into the next few months so, like all growers atm, we are keeping our seedlings not only in the poly, but in toasty propagation units.
This week we got in 4,000-odd onion seeds, some few hundred beautiful chioggia and bulls blood beetroot, and 60-odd Nero de Toscana Kale. All sown into the lovely @dalefootcompost beautiful compost, made in Britain using sheeps wool and bracken.
We’re growing for the local community so, if that pricks your interest, get in touch and let’s grow together! 🙌🏼 Many hands make more fun, and build community resilience.
This past year saw a 100% increase in demand for veg boxes…We’ve planned our seed order for 30 CSA places this first year, with the veg boxes starting June or May if we get a warm spring. Check out our pages for more info and be in touch to register your interest…we cant do it without you 🙂
