On 25th January, over 70 people joined us for a day of tree planting at Wakelyns.
Led by Paul Jackson (assisted by Jim Cooper and Paul Ward), we planted over 500 trees including around 400 in new hedges and 100+ of new apple varieties, pears, quince, plum, peach, apricot, cherry, crab apple and fig (some of them listed in the invoice below). It was a great success, and lots of fun. Everyone who came got a souvenir mug to take away! With thanks to Mandy Morton and and Cass for providing a welcome spread at lunchtime of hearty soup, a splendid selection of cheeses and bread from Kimberly Bell (her YQ loaf, of course!).
